Midday Supervisor

Salary Range:  Pay Band B / SCP 22  Actual Salary £4,499.19 per annum  (£24,413.00 full time equivalent)

Term Time only – 46 week per year salary paid  monthly                                                                

Contract/Hours: 7.5 hours per week 11.45am to 13.15pm  

The Governing Body of this successful, happy, and forward-thinking Catholic primary school wish to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive staff team who are committed to ensuring the wellbeing, safety, and positive behaviour of all pupils during the lunchtime period. You will work closely with school staff to help create a caring, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for our children.

The successful candidate will:  

  • Have experience of working with or caring for children of primary school age.
  • Be able to supervise the welfare, safety, and good conduct of pupils during the midday break.
  • Promote positive behaviour and enforce school discipline in line with school policies.
  • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development, promoting inclusion and acceptance of all children.
  • Be able to organise and supervise suitable indoor and outdoor play activities.
  • Demonstrate a caring, calm, and patient approach when supporting children.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with teaching staff and senior lunchtime staff.
  • Be aware of and comply with safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and child protection procedures.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting self-esteem, independence, and positive relationships.
  • Be willing to undertake training and professional development, including basic first aid where required
