LEVEL 2 TEACHING ASSISTANT including MIDDAY SUPERVISOR (Fixed Term 1 Year)

 

  TA Level 2 /  Pay Band D /  SCP 5-6 £25,583 - £25,989 per annum, pro-rata

  25 hours per week / term time only 

  Mid-day Supervisor Pay Band B / SCP 2 / £24,413 per annum, pro rata

  5 hours per week / term time only 

  Start date 1 September 2026 

The Governors of St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor to join our thriving school. We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the class teacher to support teaching and learning, including targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, enabling all children to achieve their full potential within a caring, inclusive and faith-centred environment.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
• Work collaboratively and positively with all the staff within the ethos, vision and values of the school
• Lead small group activities to enhance learning outcomes
• Assist in classroom management and set up learning materials
• Help deliver creative lessons to pupils across the curriculum
• Foster pupil independence, self-expression and social/emotional growth

 

 Mid-Day Supervisor will:

• Take a proactive approach in leading play activities at lunchtime
• Be enthusiastic about working with children from 4-11 years
• Act as a positive role model
• Organise and oversee children during indoor and outdoor play times and in the lunch hall
• Be energetic and imaginative

 

Mid-Day Supervisor will:

The successful candidate will also be required to fulfil both roles for which a separate contract will be issued.
