Family Engagement Officer

Salary Range: Pay Band E / SCP 7-11
£26,403 - £28,142 pro rata per annum / Actual Salary £23, 357 - £24,895 per annum
Term Time only – 46 week per year salary paid monthly
Contract/Hours: 7.45pm start 36 hours per week finish times vary but no earlier than 3.30pm

We are looking for a Family Engagement Officer to join our dedicated team and help strengthen the partnership between home and school, and raise attendance.

The successful candidate will:
About the Role:
As our Family Engagement Officer, you will:
- Work closely with families to identify and address barriers to learning and attendance.
- Provide support, advice, and signposting to relevant services.
- Build trusting relationships with parents and carers to encourage active involvement in school life.
- Organise workshops, events, and initiatives that promote family engagement.
- Collaborate with school staff and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing.
- Supervise staff plan and lead on activities for development of the Breakfast club as the first daily point of engagement, encouraging good attendance
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children, families, or in a community support role
- Is approachable, empathetic, and an excellent communicator
- Can work lead a team in breakfast club and work independently and as part of a team
- Understands safeguarding and confidentiality
- Is committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and positive outcomes for all children
