The Governors of St Anne's Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated Wraparound Club Manager to lead and manage our successful Wraparound Club provision.

About the Role

The Wraparound Club Manager will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, organisation and development of the school's wraparound provision. The successful candidate will ensure the club provides a safe, caring, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can play, learn and thrive.

You will lead a team of staff, ensure compliance with safeguarding and health and safety requirements, manage resources effectively and work closely with parents, carers and school leaders to maintain high standards of care and provision.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Lead, organise and manage the daily operation of the Wraparound Club.
  • Supervise, support and motivate club staff, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained.
  • Allocate duties and oversee staff performance within the provision.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the club.

Provision and Childcare

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee a varied programme of engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Ensure children have access to stimulating play opportunities that support their wellbeing and development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage children's social, emotional and physical development.
  • Ensure all children are fully included and supported within the provision.

Safeguarding and Compliance

  • Act as the designated lead within the provision for implementing safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns.
  • Ensure all club practices comply with safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene and school policies.
  • Maintain accurate records including attendance registers, accident records and medical information.
  • Ensure dietary requirements, allergies and medical needs are understood and appropriately managed.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and serving of snacks in accordance with food hygiene requirements.
  • Monitor resources, equipment and consumables and identify replacement requirements.
  • Ensure the club environment is safe, clean, welcoming and appropriately resourced.
  • Undertake risk assessments and ensure identified actions are implemented.

Partnership Working

  • Develop positive and professional relationships with children, parents/carers, school staff and external agencies where appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding children's welfare, attendance and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the provision supports the wider aims and ethos of the school.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience of working with children in a childcare, school or play setting.
  • Experience of leading or supervising staff within a childcare or educational environment.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • A caring, positive and professional approach.
  • The ability to create engaging play and learning opportunities for children.

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 3 Childcare, Playwork, Early Years or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of supervising staff in a childcare, educational or play setting.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
  • Safeguarding Training.
